Building the Future of Precon Together: Ediphi’s 2025 Company Offsite

Building the Future of Precon Together: Ediphi’s 2025 Company Offsite

A certain kind of magic happens when people come together in one room.

Questions bubble to the surface, the ideas flow, laughter feels natural, and the vision for what’s next starts to take shape.

At least, that’s in our experience at Ediphi…

Last week, Ediphi held its annual company-wide offsite. 50+ team members flew into Tiburon, California from all corners of the world.

One of the product’s earliest engineers, Alan Sikora, made the 24-hour trek from Brazil. Charles Burgess came straight from his Spanish vacation, backpacks in hand and a smile on his face. Marcos Moretto brought stories from Buenos Aires, Argentina and yours truly came in from Mexico City.

A global team brought together for the week with a shared vision: to make preconstruction better.

Preconstruction should be collaborative and communal

Construction has always been about the people; a pen, paper, and a handshake sort of business.

In the same way that our product offers a collaborative, people-centric approach to preconstruction by bringing more than one estimator into the live estimate, we believe it’s important to take a collaborative approach to our work.

“Last week was really special time at Ediphi,” says CEO Dustin DeVan, “In just 2 years, we have enterprise agreements with 25% of the top 20 builders — and it's all thanks to this team.”

It’s this alignment between our product philosophy and how we operate that makes our progress possible.

Let’s get specific: What did that look like at the off site? What does it mean for the industry? And what does it look like for you?

Behind the scenes of building what’s next

  • Hearing vision from the top. Founders Dustin DeVan and Mike Navarro kicked things off with where we’re headed next: cost trendlines, expanding value engineering tools, and gearing the product toward JVs and self-perform teams. Next year is all about giving customers better visibility into cost drivers and helping teams make faster, data-backed decisions before breaking ground.
  • Strategy in action. Our Go-To-Market and Engineering teams spent time together to shape the 2026 roadmap. Conversations centered around how to make onboarding better, how to minimize the amount of clicks within an estimate, and how to refine data across the board.
  • Listening from all angles. We heard from each team, from Yavier in Customer support to Jon in Backend Engineering. We learned what work looks like in their worlds, how and what they hear from customers, and how each of us can help.
  • Milestones worth celebrating. Five of the top 20 builders in the country have rolled Ediphi out enterprise wide (Teams like Hensel Phelps have half of their estimators working inside Ediphi within just three months). Proof that when collaboration becomes part of the process, efficiency and accuracy naturally follow.
  • Problem solving, the fun way. We formed teams and did a company-wide escape room (not directly related to precon, but there’s probably a “problem solving” angle somewhere in there).

Weeks like this remind us why we build Ediphi the way we do.

When everyone around the table can see the same data, ask the same questions, and learn from the same history, that’s when precon moves forward.

If your team is rethinking how you connect, estimate, and build, we’d love to keep the conversation going.
