People will label you young, inexperienced or unqualified because they do not think your time has come yet. They think you need to age a few more years, attend church some more or know a little more of the Bible before you do something great for God. The ones who make such ignorant statements and the people who believe them obviously have not read Mark 11.
In this chapter, we see Jesus approach a fig tree looking for fruit. When he did not find any, he said that fig tree will never bear fruit again. Later, his disciples saw that fig tree and it had withered (Mark 11:12-14, 20-21). They were confused at why Jesus would do this to the fig tree because it was not the season for figs (verse 13).
Here is where the lesson is: Who said the fig tree's season had not come? The disciples or man. But what was Jesus' take? He wanted to see fruit on it. In Jesus' opinion, that fig tree's season was now - the moment he went up to it and wanted fruit.
In our lives, man may tell us it is not our season yet, but don't listen to that. What does God say? He says he wants you to get into action so that he will see fruit now. Don't wait until tomorrow to start bearing fruit because your time has come and your season is now.
